Steel continuous basalt composite reinforcement (SFCB) is composed of an inner steel core and an outer longitudinal FRP composite, which has the complementary advantages of high ductility of steel bars and high strength of FRP bars. It has the characteristics of high modulus, high tensile strength, strong corrosion resistance, stable and reliable "secondary stiffness" in the structure, excellent ductility and energy dissipation ability, small residual displacement after earthquake, and easy repair. Mainly used for reinforced concrete seismic structures in civil engineering, transportation and other engineering fields, it has the complementary advantages of steel and FRP reinforcement, high modulus, high tensile strength, and especially strong corrosion resistance. It uses a mixture of SFCB and ordinary steel bars as the main reinforcement in various concrete structures.
SFCB is composed of a hybrid FRP outer covering layer wrapped around the inner and outer core of the steel bar; The SFCB composite reinforcement is located within the protective layer of the cast-in-place concrete structure, and the hoop reinforcement surrounds the steel continuous fiber composite reinforcement along the circumferential direction. The framework is formed between the two by binding or welding methods; After the prefabrication of SFCB composite reinforcement is completed, the outer surface of the hybrid FRP cladding layer of SFCB is bonded and controlled, and finally poured into the main body of the concrete structure.
