1. Introduction of basalt fiber

Continuous Basalt fiber is known as new material of 21st century. Basalt stone as raw materials and crushed the putted into furnace.After melt at 1450-1500℃, the homogeneous melt is first drawn into coarse fibers through the drawing bushing, and then crude fibers are drawn into continuous fibers of various specifications by wire drawing machines, and is infiltrated with different sizing according to different purpose,and processed to form the final products.

2.Performance of BF LFT

Basalt fiber have the Performances of high strength, excellent heat resistance,excellent durability, corrosion resistance, non-absorbent, excellent dielectric performance,radiation protection,excellent wave penetration and absorption performance,moderate price. Its often used for reinforce thermoplastic composite material. BF LFT products have following performances:

Under high temperature and long-term low load conditions, no deformation will occur and excellent dimensional stability.

Fatigue resistance, high temperature resistance, low warping, aging resistance, less fiber exposure, excellent surface performance.

Small creep performance, small anisotropy, low warping, density is lower than 1.6g/m3

excellent wave penetration and absorption performance, excellent fluidity, excellent molding performance, can be injection molded or extruded.

Excellent mechanical properties, especially impact resistance, low water absorption, excellent resistance to seawater and salt spray.

It maintains its properties at low temperatures and is not degraded by UV and electromagnetic radiation.

3.Application of Basalt Fiber Long Fiber Reinforced LFT Composites

3.1Applications in the automotive field

BF LFT composites materials can be used in bumpers, mudguards, engine covers, instrument panel brackets, central armrest brackets, door substrates, front-end modules, intake manifolds, seat backs, and car battery shells in automobiles /bracket, door frame, roof window frame/layer, automotive exterior mirror frame, etc.

Application advantages:

BF LFT composite materials can be used in various electrical insulation parts, printers, fax machine shells, low-voltage electrical shells and inner brackets, computer outer and inner bracket shells, TV back covers, mobile phone chargers Shell, UHV power transmission various electrical insulation parts, fan blades, electrical switch shell, washing machine inner barrel, washing machine drum, impeller, washing machine triangle bracket, air conditioner guide fan, socket, etc.
